The High Sierra Rodeo Association (HSRA), is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization promoting the western lifestyle with the commitment to raise money for charitable organizations within our community. The HSRA performs charitable duties for the regional area by creating themed fund-raising shows, dances, rodeo performances, raffles, auctions and social events.
Located along the Eastern Face of the Sierra Nevada Range, our members hail from all over Northern Nevada, throughout the state, and the nation. The HSRA is an all-inclusive organization comprised of members from the ages of 17-75 years old, and of all orientations from the GLBT and straight community
The HSRA is committed to producing the very finest IGRA Finals Rodeo event in the history of Gay Rodeo. We will accomplish this goal by rallying our community together, uniting our young but determined association and by following through on every one of our promises to each other and ourselves. We are determined to remind the World that Reno, Nevada is very significant to the history of the GLBT community.
The HSRA could use your talents to make the IGRA Finals Rodeo a success! Rodeo skills are not required. Involvement with the HSRA is an excellent opportunity to make new friends, network, develop leadership skills and to build on the characteristics that HSRA prides itself upon: Teamwork, Honesty, Friendship, Integrity and Camaraderie.
